RIDE REPORT 2ND DEC BONNIE DOON

A great little ride out to Bonnie Doon and back.21 riders from the Melbourne snd Yarra ranges branch set out for BD. A first for me Derek brought his sidecar and the absolutely adorable Sooki, his faithful dog. She seemed as delighted as the rest of us at the prospect of a ride!!
We headed off under cool and cloudy skies up to Yea via the yarra glen Healesville road then up via chum creek Toolangi and back onto Melba hwy.
After some caffeine loading it was onto the Bonnie Doon pub.the lunchbox brigade camped out under the trees out front to enjoy lunchwhilst some of us admired the water views only 20 metres from our table whilst we chowed down on burgers, foccaciasetc.
Then it was an enjoyable afternoon ride back and some of us decided another coffee was in order at the Yarra Glen bakery on the way back.
There was a mixture of bikes the usual BMW RTs Ducati even a Classic 81 Kawasaki GPZ1000 plus Yamaha FJR and Nigel brought his lovely cruiser out to play for the day.
Victoria brought her Virago out as well, come on down to the brunch sometime we would love to see you there.
Best of all everybody stayed safe and well.
