Re: Phillip Island Ride
A very interesting time spent at the National Vietnam Veterans Museum on Phillip Island.
Good to catch up with a good number of Yarra Ranges Ulysses members, mostly able-bodied, bar the two walking wounded!
Only downside for me was that it was the shortest ride I've ever had with the Club...6 minutes return ride! The tyres didn't even get warm!

Re: Phillip Island Ride
19 two wheel bikes, a Can-Am and an ambulance (actually Fonzie's car containing the hopalong twins, Homer & Fonze) made their way down to Phillip Island. We travelled via Harkaway Rd, Boundary Rd, Stoney Creek Rd, Beaconsfield-Emerald Rd, Salisbury Rd, Toomuc Valley Rd, through Pakenham South towards Koo Wee Rup (sorry Macca & Lynn) and onto the South Gippy/Bass Highway to Newhaven on Phillip Island. We were a bit early so coffee in Cowes at the bakery was most welcome.
24 people spent a leisurely few hours examining an impressive display at the Vietnam Veterans Museum.
And in between they fed us well
A pleasant ride home with some electing to travel straight up the highway and a few who elected to return via Koo Wee Rup, Pakenham South, Beaconsfield Upper, etc.
Thanks to Chris Collins for stepping in as Tail End Charlie.

Phillip Island Ride
A good number of riders turned up at Scoresby Shell station this morning for the ride to Phillip Island. No sign of rain, a little on the cool side, but not unpleasant for a meandering ride on some lovely bike roads on our way to the island. We arrived a little early, so with an hour to kill, we rode into Cowes for coffee, then back to the museum to order lunch and have a look around the museum. Thanks to Kev and Pam leading and Chris as TEC, feel sure nobody got lost and confident all had a great day. Regards Mick.
