Today was a great finish for 2014.  Sue and I wish all members a happy Christmas hopefully with the ones you want to spend it with, Good health, and a New Year rich with riding experiences remembered for all the right reasons.

Following are a couple of pics from today's presentations to Brunch Cafe and Brian's Bike Mart:

Final Saturday at Brunch for 2014 Empty Final Saturday at Brunch for 2014

Despite the odd, grinchy terrorist; the beauty of this time of the year (which can be lost in, "When the hell am I going to fit shopping in between finishing all these jobs I have to do!") is joy and good will to all men.

As a Branch, there are 2 businesses (there are others but these 2 are outstanding) who have contributed to the successful running we have enjoyed.  One is Brian's Bikemart (off Maroondah Hwy, Ringwood) through donations of 'worth winning' raffle prizes and the nights we have enjoyed at their premises when they have put on discounts, nibblies and drinks, and door prizes of varying wealth.  The other is having Brunch cafe host our Saturday morning socialisings where, as well as putting on extra staff and always making us welcome, have travelled around the car park when errant Ulyssians go a-wandering when they have placed an unfilled order.  I have yet to see Macca's or Subway come close.

So as this coming Saturday is our last Saturday get-together, we will be making a presentation to Brunch Cafe and their staff around 10-10.30am when we do the announcements; and then intend to head out to Bike Mart to do the same.  Unless you think it's cool following a rather dated Subaru Outback to Brian's Bikemart, it would be great if a bunch could make their own way up Canterbury Road so we have a bit of a crowd for the presentation.

Ho ho ho! rendeer
