The committee provides the following guidance on the coronavirus in relation to our club activities and club rides.
This is an evolving situation where the government is acting on daily medical advice. The following links contain the latest official guidance:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
At this stage, The Yarra Ranges Branch is not cancelling group rides or social gatherings.
However, members are encouraged to make decisions based on what is right for their own health needs, particularly those with underlying health conditions.
Please DO NOT attend rides or club meetings if you are unwell. Cultivate the following behaviours:
• Proper and frequent hand washing.
• Avoid shaking hands: Alternative suggested greetings are the foot tap, elbow touch, a wave or nod instead!
• Avoid touching your face
• Observe sneezing and coughing etiquette
When at cafes reduce risk of transmission by:
• sitting outdoors if possible, and be mindful of social distancing (1.5 metre buffer),
• maintain good hygiene – frequently wash hands, cough into you elbow, etc.
Club meetings may be affected by the emerging situation. Members will be advised via the web page, Bulletin Board or Facebook page.
Further to the above the Yarra Ranges Branch Welfare Officer, Alex McDonald stands ready to be contacted by any member (contact number 0402 347 513) who may find themselves in difficulty during the present situation.
