Ride report 28-8-19 ride to Thornton

Hi all, todays ride to Thornton was another good one, thirteen riders bid farewell to three other Ulyesians who were at brunch for a coffee and chat and then headed off over the Dandenongs via Sassafras/Olinda before heading out to Healesville and up and over the Spur. After a quick toilet stop at the Dom Dom Saddle reserve it was off to the Rubicon Hotel in Thornton for lunch. I have not had a feed here before but would recommend it to anyone and is capable of hosting large groups. The route home was via Alexandra/Molesworth/Yea and it was after Yea that we got Hail.Thunder, Bolts of Lightning, Strong Winds [well maybe some rain] but it sounded good.
