Welcome to Squeaky Gate Retreat
"Where the river flows wide and free"

We are a new, purpose built, air conditioned Bed and Breakfast designed to be a getaway for small motorcycle groups, couples and families. We have a well appointed workshop/ shed with plenty of space to park your bikes in safety. Lance is a member of the Ulysses Club; Member #52168. For Ulysses clubs only, a booking of four or more riders receives a $15 discount on the room value of each space. We can accommodate 8 people easily.

It's all about chilling here; doing precisely what you need to do to relax and unwind. There is free NBN WIFI (Avg 23mbps), TVs, a DVD collection, a library and we have a licence to see alcohol to our guests. There are no nearby neighbours, no noise, no stress; just watch the mighty Clarence flow by at your doorstep here at Ashby in Northern NSW, just 10 minutes off the Pacific Highway.

Dining in: You may choose to dine in, or dine at one of the local restraunts or cafes. Just let us know if you wish to dine in with a little notice.

Motorcycle Tours:
Lance has ridden all over Eastern Australia and also knows motorcycle touring well. He has two motorcycles; a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic, fully kitted out for touring, and a Chopped 1978 Honda CB 750 F2; very custom. He loves them both and any excuse to go for a ride is a good excuse.

There are several great local rides:
1. Woodford Island takes about 1.5hrs hour, approx. 80kms. Very nice.
2. Woodford Island, Lawerence, Southgate, Ulmarra (morning tea) and Tubacia, home. An easy half a day; approx. 150kms..
3. Woodford Island, Lawerence, Grafton, Southgate, Ulmarra (early lunch), Minnie Waters (ride on the beach), Tyndale, Home. Easy day; approx 250kms.. Bring your bathers.
4. Woodford Island, Grafton, Armidale Road, Tryingham Road, Dorrigo, Waterfall Way, Pacific Hwy, Orara Way, Home. Full day, approx. 400km.
5. Big full day ride up to New England. Grafton, Glenn Innes, Guyra, Armidale and then home, approx. 550kms.. This has some very nice tight riding up and down the ranges. A very big day out.
6. Other alternative rides can be organised. Just discuss with Lance.
