GRIFFITH TOUR 2016

Griffith Tour, 14 -17 October 2016 Ride leader: Henry Rokx (0418 329 617)
We will be doing another tour to Griffith in 2016, this time from 14 to 17 October. We propose to depart from the park at Yarra Glen at 0800 SHARP on the Friday morning, 14th October and we will be returning home on Monday 17th October via Yea. More details for the ride will be promulgated as plans for various activities are finalized during the year. All participating members will be kept advised as the year goes on.
We will be in Griffith for 2 days to enable participants to spend some free time to enjoy the Festival of Gardens, the Citrus Sculptures, visit some wineries and other local attractions. There will also be an option to visit the Altina Wildlife Park on the Saturday with an organized tour. Many of those that went last time may wish to visit again and if you have never done it, it’s worth a visit. Altina will need to be pre-booked and paid for before we go.
For the Garden Festival, tours can be booked through the Visitor Information Centre.
We have 30 rooms set aside at the Acacia Motel, but as at 11/10/15, several are already taken. The rooms are only going to be held for Yarra Ranges Ulysses. There is an option to go to another nearby motel which is very close. See details below.
Please let me know if you are intending to come. Participation in the ride will be confirmed when your accommodation is booked. As always I will need to be advised when you have booked a room. If/when booking a room at the Acacia Motel, please quote “Yarra Ranges Ulysses” and you will be allocated one of the reserved rooms (if there are any left). When the rooms at the Acacia Motel run out, please call the 2nd motel. There are no specific rooms held at the Citrus Motel, so just book a room and let me know. It will be a busy weekend in Griffith, so don’t leave it too late to book.
