Funeral Arrangements - Rex Roberts

We have a police escort for Rex's funeral tomorrow Thanks to John E (Fonzie)
Police rang Garry today to confirm arrangements.

Maybe not an escort but the police will be there to stop traffic so we can do a right turn under the bridge
and they will see how the traffic is & might help if the traffic is heavy further up the highway
Either way we are thankful for there support

Rex’s Funeral Ride
To all members attending Rex’s last ride and who will be riding with him to Lilydale Crematorium, upon arrival at Le Pine funerals in Croydon, please ride your bikes through the car park of the Le Pine Chapel, go around the back and park up around the other side of the chapel facing the road, keeping in mind that you are not blocking the driveway.
As the family carries out the coffin we would like a Guard of Honour,
starting from inside the chapel to outside where the hearse will be  waiting.
Garry will mount his bike and The Conductor will walk in front of Garry towards the road for a short time.
All bikes to start your engines and “REV” for about 10-15 seconds. To farewell Rex biker style .
Rex’s bike will ridden by one of the family and will be directly behind Garry  with all of the riders following in staggered formation , and keeping in mind only do this where you are not putting yourself or anyone else’s safety in jeopardy.

The funeral service for Rex Roberts will be held at Le Pine Funerals at
Mt. Dandenong Road, Croydon on Tuesday 8 October 2013 at 12.00 Noon.

Ulysses Club members are asked (if possible) to come on their motorcycles.
After the service, for those who wish to take part, the motorcycles will escort
the hearse to Lilydale Crematorium. Rex's bike will be ridden by a family member.

After the ride to Lilydale, all guests will be invited to attend a light lunch/afternoon
tea at a location to be advised on Tuesday.
