Saying 'Goodbye' to Georgina Empty SAYING 'GOODBYE' TO GEORGINA

Post by Wezzo Fri Feb 16 2018, 19:28

If I may offer my most sincere condolences to Don and his sons for their loss of Georgina. Sad
It has been far too long since I saw you Don and it is very sad that I happened to come along on this day. But going by Mick's entry it looks like she had a good send off.
May her God bless her and take her into his care.
Kindest regards
Wayne W.

Saying 'Goodbye' to Georgina Empty Saying 'Goodbye' to Georgina

Post by crofty48 Fri Feb 16 2018, 14:49

Quite a crowd of mourners gathered this morning to farewell Georgina at Sacred Heart Croydon, the formal ceremony of her life will no doubt give comfort and peace of mind to her family.
While for many, it was a long ceremony, it was very well conducted, with Don and his sons being part of the service and giving readings, and a couple of background recordings accompanying a photo presentation, I think the priest may have 'raised his eyebrows' at Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz, by Janis Joplin?
YR Branch was well represented (only 3 motorbikes) but plenty enough members that we did not go unnoticed, once Georgina was conveyed to the crematorium, all were invited to refreshments after which, we took our leave. Again, Don and family, our sincerest condolences.
Regards Mick.
