Good effort, Rowan  Very Happy  Very Happy - attached is the generally used process for corner marking in Yarra Ranges Branch. This is the version that is discussed at our Ride Leader & TEC Information sessions.

Corner Marking. Empty Corner Marking.

Post by ghost_rider Tue Aug 30 2016, 17:34

Kevin Willoughby mentioned on our FB site that some of our newer members may not be fully up on Corner Marking... so here goes...

The ride leader, being concerned that the group of riders might miss a turn, decides where corners are to be marked. He or she does this by pointing to the appropriate spot and directing the rider immediately behind him or her to take post at that spot as corner marker. The corner marker will stop as close as possible to the selected spot as they deem safe. They will stop their motorcycle and clearly point in the direction to be followed so the following riders can see. Indication of direction is NOT given by the corner marker's motor cycle indicators. When all the motos in the group have passed, the corner marker safely resumes the ride by pulling back in front of TEC (Tail-End-Charlie) when safe to do so. TEC may pull over to let the rider in or may slow down and toot his horn.

Please add if I have left anything out.
