Re: FULL MOON RIDE - MARCH 6TH
Yeah, good 'onya Fonze, it was a great night.
And thanks for changing the route at Emerald.
I'll admit that I was getting worried about the conditions.
Wasn't looking forward to going up the mountain.
Good sense prevailed.
And thanks to Guy and Jean for looking after us at the back.

FULL MOON RIDE - MARCH 6TH
Friday March 6th was a Full Moon - but we did not get to see it as it was too cloudy - and the weather overcast and drizzley.
14 of the best and hardiest riders turned up at Brunch despite the ominous weather outlook, and at 7.30 pm we headed off into the unknown.
We aimed to get to Woori Yallock and Emerald before it got too dark. The sky was dark and misty and the road became a little slippery and
somewhat challenging. I was quite dark upon reaching Emerald for a 'comfort' stop. After a brief conflab, and a chat to the local Constabulary
we decided to give the Sky High lookout a miss (wouldn't see anything anyway) - and Belgrave Rd and Mt Dande. Tourist Rd looked like being a
bit dangerous - Wellington Rd to Ferntree Gully looked a much better option. We ended at Maca's near Brunch at about 10 pm for coffee and
treats before heading home.
The ride was challenging and by no means easy. My congratulations to the riders, in particular those who may seem cautious, for completing
the ride safely and without incident - the comments back at Maca's were that everyone enjoyed the night and had a good time.
Thanks to all who turned up and made the night a success.
Also special thanks to Guy West as a first time Tail End Charlie.
Cheers .. Fonze.
