AGM Yarra Ranges Dinner

We are booked in at the Alice Springs Golf Club for Wednesday night of the AGM, from 6pm.

Wintersun is in the north end of town and the AGM is to the south as you enter. The golf club is near where we will register and Stumps is a little north/west of that in the shopping centre. I think it will be riding or taxi but until we get there or somebody who gets there before us can check it out, I don't know for sure. Both places are walkable but I'm not sure how long a walk.

Hi Bruce and others. I am also with Bob's group, and will go with the flow for dinner on Wednesday, to Stumps Restaurant, or Golf Club, or where ever. Cheers from Trevor Hudson.

Just when we look like 'Stumps' is the way to go, Alice Springs Golf Club have sent me a dinner menu that is less expensive ($17-$24 covers most meals with some either end) and recommended by the AGM Organiser. It has steak and barramundi at the upper end of the spectrum and a reasonable variety to cover our different tastes. As it is near where we will register when we arrive, it should be easy for everyone to find so I'll check if they can take our number (25-30).

Stumps menu looks good to me. Prices are OK. Not sure about the kangaroo (maybe a bit of roadkill)

The Alice Springs Branch emailed a reply to me with 3 recommendations.  One was too expensive at $30+ for mains.  One is unknown and the 3rd is mains in the $20's, some in mid $teens, and a Wednesday night special of mixed grill for $19.  There are GF options.

We're looking at getting all from Yarra Ranges together for dinner on Wednesday of Alice's AGM.  Friday night will be the Piazza dinner (replacing Hoekker dinner of previous AGMs) and I see the traders are putting on a market dinner for Ulyssians on Thursday night similar to Suzuki Market here in Melbourne.  So that leaves Wednesday night.  There is a venue that looks like it should work for us and I'll check it out when I get there, hopefully on Monday.  I'll be with Bob's ride so if you want in and are travelling separately, can you give me an idea of numbers of those travelling with you so I can book and get back to you.
