Just a quick note of thanks to all who helped on Sunday and the others who attended.  As you all know, the BBQ Trailer was a passion of Rex's, and one of his aims was to get other Branches together socially.  This was well and truly achieved on Sunday, and hopefully there will be many more such events--proving to all the others, what a happy and social Branch we are.

Cheers, Pam.

I am told we catered for 135. Costs of the day and the generator purchase were therefore covered. Well done again all!

Mt Franklin Meet 'n' Greet Empty mt Franklin ride.

Post by bikechickadee Sun Mar 23 2014, 21:50

Thanks to all the cooks and helpers today at Mt Franklin.
I had never been there before despite my Mum growing up in nearby Daylesford.
A beautiful spot and the sun came out just as the first bunch of riders came through.
I'm not sure how many riders were there but I guess about 90-110 ish??

It was really nice to see all the branches chatting together and I saw my dream bike that superb looking red/silver 106 cubic inches victory.
Kev I have it on record that you are buying me one when you win Lotto and if I win you get your Hayabusa!!

 Shocked

I felt very proud of how well the barbie lunch went for the meet 'n' greet.  Gentle (Geelong) gave it the thumbs up and said we really did it better than they did.  The team that made lunch happen are champions one and all.  The generator's first outing also justified its purchase.
I was also very proud of how our guys actually mixed around with those in the other branches.
Terry did a great job leading the ride as well and all corner marking was done well.  Thanks to all who made the day great
