Thanks Jo for that information. I'm sure some will be able to go on Monday and
that John will be honoured on Saturday.

Condolences to Maureen, John's wife, and his family. John was a valued member
of the Two Bays/Mornington wanderers branches and he was tireless when
organizing the Peninsula Toy Run every year.

Vale John Smollen (Mornington Wanderers)

Post by Sue J on Sat Nov 30 2013, 17:27

We received the sad news today of the passing of John Smollen from the Mornington Wanderers Branch. I am sure many will know John as the organiser of the Peninsula Toy Run.

Phil Matthews, the Secretary/Treasurer of the Mornington Wanderers Branch has advised that the Toy Run will go ahead as planned on 7 December, with the hope that this will be the biggest turnout ever, to honor John and the event that was very close to John's heart.

Details of the funeral arrangements will be posted as soon as they are known.
