Vale Rex Roberts Empty Thank You so much

Post by Pammo Mon Oct 14 2013, 10:51

Wow, where do I start!  Firstly my family and I would like to say how totally overwhelmed we have been by the love and support we have received from "our other family"!  Thank you for the flowers, cards, food and neverending cuddles.  Thank you to all of you who took time off to attend the funeral, and take part in Rex's final ride.  If you can say a day like that was wonderful, it was!  We all have memories of Rex, and I hope that most of them will leave you with a smile.  He had an amazing, full life, and those of you who have seen pictures and heard stories will realize that he was "a bit of a lad".  Towards the end, he didn't like getting old--he only liked the "disgraceful" bit.

Thank you all again, and to quote what his father used to say at the setting of the sun---"with a tinge of regret, we reluctantly say farewell".

Cheers, Pam.

Oh Pam, I am so sorry to hear of this news.  I have not logged on to the site for a while, and only this week attended the funeral of my sister who died unexpectedly last week and am still in shock.  This is such sad news and am so sorry that I only found out this morning and not earlier so that I could have given my support. This does not have good timing, My sincere condolences to you and your family.  My thoughts are with you.   Helmut (Mutsky) and Barbara Abt

Thanks Blydie and Jo for your thoughtfulness and sharing.  I'm after pics for December's Grapevine so if you have one or two you think will go well, can you please email them in full size via the 'president' email on the committee page, or direct if you have my personal email.

I was proud to be involved with the Branch today because of how you came out for Pam and the family.  I know there were some where that involved lost income and/or changes of plans.  That says it all really.

Dear Pam, wishing you and your family sincere condolences on the unexpected passing of Rex. I have known Rex and Pam since they joined Yarra Ranges and they stand out as a Ulysses benchmark for being such a friendly, positive and helpful couple. Rex will be sadly missed by Keren, myself and the rest of the Yarra Ranges family.
Trevor Hudson.

Our deepest sympathy to Pam and Family. Rex was a local Ulysses icon who will be greatly missed by all who have known him and the stalwart for all metal things with wings. It won't be the same without you mate, now you can fly with the angels. Lynne and Rob
