Twin Spurs Rally

Post by Firefly_au on Thu Nov 15 2012, 15:16

I had a great time at the rally! A special thanks to the organizers.

And to the Gents that shared the cabin with me at the tourist park and to all my friends involved.

Also the lovely Ladies that captured me on the way past the dance floor. lol!

It was fun.

Cheers Nigel.

To Henry & Marjorie, Rex & Pam and all other Yarra Ranges members who contributed to organising this great weekend away at Alexandra, I would like to offer my thanks and praise.
Not sure if it was Father Kevin or someone else, who also blessed us with great weather while up there.
Cheers from Trevor. Laughing

Thank you to all who made the Twin Spurs Rally happen. A wonderful weekend away with something for everyone; not to mention perfect weather. I had a ball, just love being apart of such a fantastic club, never can it be said that getting older has to be boring, particularly when you belong to this club.
Cheers Bee

What a great weekend Very Happy Very Happy - great weather sunny , good company, a biker friendly town, some popular music from the Tandy clan afro afro , some good tucker and a few bevvies - it doesn't get much better than that!! It all came together with a lot of good organising, generous prize sponsors and willing helpers with a special mention to Bikemart, Henri & Marjorie, Pam & Rex, Liz & Ron and everyone who blew up a balloon, cooked an egg, cleaned up or carried something heavy. It was great to see our friends from Griffith - Ang & Mary, Daryl & Pauline - as well as our regular visitors Kevin & Tony from the Mornington Peninsula and "Father" Peter from Melbourne Branch.

A few fotygrafs from the weekend:

We assembled on Saturday morning at the Information Centre

and rode en masse to the Alexandra Showgrounds (the home of the mighty Rebels footy club) and set up near the pavilion

Of course we were competing for the inaugural Alexandra Pastoral & Agricultural Association trophy for the Best Motorcycle on Show so the skullduggery for votes was on from the start

But in the end the winner was Wrecksy with the help of his newly found friends from the Alex Show organising committee!!

Afterwards, a few of us went for a leisurely ride up to the Eildon dam wall and talked a fresh load of nonsense up there

And then it was back to town for our dinner at the Mt Pleasant Hotel.

Twin Spurs Rally Weekend

Post by Henry Rokx on Mon Nov 12 2012, 09:19

The Twin Spurs Rally was held over the weekend of 9-11 November and went off very well.
Every one had a good time. Company was great, weather was awesome and the dinner on Saturday
went off without a hitch. Many thanks to Pam and Rex who again did a grand job organizing the
BBQ's for Friday dinner, Saturday and Sunday breakfasts. Even our interstate visitors had a ball.

Many thanks also to our sponsors who supplied raffle prizes, particualrly Bikemart who came to the
party yet again. The Show'n'Shine went well at the Alexandra Show. All in all an entertaining weekend.
Tonight we sit down at the committee meeting to do our wash-up, but from my point of view it was
all positive.
