Diabetes Victoria - Yarra Ranges Branch Social Evening - Club Kilsyth - August 2017

Last Thursday at the Branch`s Social night, we had a guest (Kat Crowley) join us from Diabetes Victoria. Kat spoke to us regarding this modern epidemic that sees 81 new cases each and every day in Victoria alone. In 2016, there were 1.3 million Victorians who had a type of Diabetes. Kat explained that funds raised goes to directly into diabetes research as their goal is that Diabetes will one day be a thing of the past. Diabetes Victoria has several educational programs avail...able for Diabetes sufferers. Also, they (Diabetes Vic) assist sufferers with diet guides to assist with the management of the disease. On the evening, Chris Collins representing the Yarra Ranges Branch made a donation of $200 to the Diabetes Victoria.
PS....Our guest speaker Kat has indicated that she is wanting to go for a ride through the hills (as a pillion) when the weather gets a little warmer!
