          Family Open Cockpit Day 2016
You don't have to be an aviation enthusiast to enjoy sitting inside a cockpit. The amazing array of dials and buttons, sticks and more is captivating, which is why the Family Open Cockpit Day has become so hugely popular. This year the Family Open Cockpit Day is being held on Sunday 9th October and there will be plenty of fun the whole family will enjoy.
In a mix of about 20 assorted aircrafts you can walk through from front to back, the newly arrived Canberra Bomber is a brand new highlight for this year's event. Everyone is welcome to climb into the pilot's seat and experience first hand how it feels to sit within these magnificent flying machines. Soak in the atmosphere of the cockpit and enjoy looking at lots of different planes.

In addition to access onto the planes and their open cockpits, there will be plenty of other on-the-ground activities. Entertainment includes models, engine runs, raffles and, of course something to eat and drink. Picnics are also welcome with shade and seating provided.

The Family Open Cockpit Day is being held on Sunday 9th October 2016 from 9am to 5pm at the Australian National Aviation Museum located at 1 Second Avenue, Moorabbin Airport.

Tickets can be purchased via the
Facebook Event Page, which will bounce you to Trybooking for online payment. Tickets are $10 per adult, $7 concession and $5 for kids, with a family ticket being $20.
