John "Bluey" Anderson - Tribute

Post by BernieH on Mon Nov 02 2015, 17:42

It was good to see 26 of our members gathered for the funeral of "Bluey" Anderson. Most of those attending would have known "Bluey" better than me.
More recent members would not have known him at all as he has been sick for a number of years.
"Bluey" was a knock-about kind of a guy; a Sergeant. in the Regular Army who served in a number of overseas countries including Vietnam.
He was involved in the motoring industry and became a skilled motorcycle mechanic.
He then rose to the dizzy heights of serving on the Committee of the Yarra Ranges Ulysses.
His "growing old disgracefully" did not impact on his love and care for his wife, children a grandchildren.
Ride on Bluey.
