Only the brave...

Hi all
Well 6 Ulyssians  ( Kev White and Pam; Fonze; Tom and Sue & me)decided to rug up and brave the chilly weather. To start no rain at Berwick but 5 mins down the road just as we hit the freeway bang down it came. My ipod started playing Beyonce song " crazy right now" ; how very appropriate! !
We slogged on thru the rain to Neerim south where the Chosen bean cafe was a welcome sight!! Nice and warm inside with good coffee.

We jointly decided to give the Toorongo falls a miss as the dirt road in would have been too washed out and slippery so we chewed the fat for awhile and then pushed on to Noojee.
Arriving at Noojee pub a few mins early we had to wait for it to open at 11 am.
The road surface was pretty dodgy down to Noojee but everybody took it easy going down the hill.

But once inside the owner stoked up the fire for us and wet gear was soon draped everywhere.
then we had to wait until 12 noon to order but no worries as it was freezing and wet outside and we all enjoyed the fire .

Thanks to everybody who came along and big thanks to Kevin White and Pam for offering to do TEC.

WE GOT back to Paradise Valley hotel about 2.20 pm but nobody wanted a coffee with everyone just wanted to get home. And of course the sun came out in the last 10 mins of the ride. We did 170 km all up.

Thanks to the bravehearts who came in defiance of the weather!!  all the bikes were well and truly muddy by days end.
